Impression® Air Sulfur (IMS) and Air Iron (IMFE) filters are extremely effective in removing hydrogen sulfide and iron, commonly associated with problem well water. These systems use a unique air-injection filtering technology to oxidize sulfur or iron into precipitates (solids) that can be readily filtered and removed — the result is simply refreshingly good water from the tap, every time.

Great Water From The Tap

Impression Series® air charge filters are successful in effectively removing high levels of sulfur and iron commonly found in well water. These filtration systems are often used in combination with other Impression water softeners to provide a total treatment solution. All IMS and IMBFE filters are environmentally safe, eliminating the need for chemicals and feed pumps.

Impression Plus Model

The Impression Plus (IMPS & IMPFE) models feature an advanced controller that features a backlit LED display screen plus a top tank flange that makes service a breeze.

How It Works

The media bed works in combination with an air charge chamber within the tank to oxidize and filter the elements that cause sulfur and iron. At the programmed time, the system will regenerate using ordinary water to backwash the system clean of sulfur, iron and other well water contaminants. See how it works at water-right.com

Inch Worm

Inch Worm is an adjustable cycle that allows the control valve to slowly “inch” its way into backwash, allowing air to escape slowly instead of one “rush.” This slow release of air virtually eliminates the thrashing of drain lines or noisy discharge of air to drain when the valve first advances to backwash.

Due to extreme bacteriological conditions, Impression Series® Air filters may require additional disinfection, especially in warm weather climates. Please contact dealer for more information.

The Media
The IMS uses a high-grade, activated catalytic media that is produced with a patented process and manufactured to speed up the reaction rate in the media. It is unique in that it concentrates contaminants within the pores of the media and then promotes their reaction on the surface of the pores.

The IMFE media acts as an insoluble catalyst to enhance the reaction between oxygen and iron compounds. This process converts iron to particles that can be easily filtered out.

The Electronics
The microprocessor captures all water conditioning operations, including gallons per day, total gallons, peak flow rates, and total regenerations. Time is also held in memory and protected by a built-in battery backup.

The Control Valve
A rugged, Noryl™ control valve handles high flow rates without dropping household water pressures — like when showers, toilets and faucets are all in use at the same time.
